About Me!

My name is Peyton Fanning, I am 23 years old, a college graduate, and a journalist. I'm from Gunter, TX, where I went to high school. During high school, I was a cheerleader all four years and the co-captain of my varsity cheer team during my senior year. I applied to Tarleton State University and started working on my marketing degree in the Fall of 2019. 

Soon after, COVID-19 hit and I was forced back home to continue school online. During COVID-19 I decided to bite the bullet and change my major to Sports Communication where I could learn how to be a sports journalist. This was the best decision I could have made as It was been a passion of mine to be a journalist. During my sophomore year of college I decided to join a sorority and recruitment led me to Phi Mu. I have made the best friends during my time in Phi Mu and would not change it for the world. 

At the end of my sophomore year, I decided that I wanted to get a dog and got my adorable puppy, Bonnie. My amazing fiance of now six years, Noah Williams, has helped me with so much. 

Back to college, during my time at Tarleton State, I have worked to build my resume and experience. I work the Tarleton Sports Network as a paid and unpaid intern from the Fall of 2019 until the Spring of 2023. I also worked the my college's newspaper, the JTAC. At the JTAC I was a sports writer and photographer. During my senior year, I wrote for a newspaper in Whitesboro as a sports writer where I built a lot of experience. 

I graduated from Tarleton in May of 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies with a concentration in Sports Communication and a Minor in Technical Writing. 

I would not have been able to graduate, take care of my dog, get my first, current, job, etc without the support of my family, friends, fiance and God. I have been very blessed in my life and have been very fortunate to be able to have the things that I have.
